About Jennifer Manon

Jennifer received her Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Spokane Community College in 1994. She interned at Hawkins & Guinn, a Spokane firm focusing on real estate, business law and family law. From March 2010 she has worked side by side with Jay at Manon Law Office. In April 2013 Jennifer passed the Colville Tribal Bar exam and has been licensed as a Spokesperson able to practice law in that court. As a Spokesperson she represents clients both in criminal charges and representing parents and children in court proceedings.

Jennifer performs much of the research for our office. She finds the boring work of digging through old cases and arguments to be rather exciting. During jury trials she assists with jury selection, preparation of all pretrial materials, and at the table being Jay’s second set of eyes and ears. She has a knack for communicating with people despite an aversion to the telephone.

Jennifer also works as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) in the Colville Tribal Court, which allows her to work in her favorite capacity, speaking on behalf of children. She takes this responsibility to investigate and make a recommendation to the court very seriously and is always worried about the impact those recommendations will have on the children involved.

When she is not at work she enjoys rolling her eyes at Jay’s jokes, watching old crime procedurals and sitcoms, road trips to “everywhere”, and researching anything and everything. She has many passions that all center around home and families which is why for the first fifteen years of marriage she was a full time wife and mother.
